Liked: The desk staff were really good. Welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful. A joy.The bed itself was very comfortable.The Pool and garden area were very pleasant.
Disliked: OMG! We had a 'King' room. It was slightly bigger than a cupboard. But WAIT FOR IT... The room was so small that the (small, 'one-person') wardrobe was in the TOILET/Bathroom!!! Even the toilet had a sliding door that didn't close properly. This was not at all what we expected. We were fortunate to get a balcony but it was barely bigger than a window ledge! There was almost no drawer space so we could not unpack more than basics. Certainly inadequate for more than one person for one night. There wasn't even space to open suitcases!There was no drain in the bathroom floor (!!!) so when the shower overflowed (from a drain in the shower itself, found to be blocked with previous guests' hair) it flooded the whole toilet/bathroom floor that could only be soaked up with lots of bath towels.The booking was one that 'included breakfast'. We know the kind of 'American breakfasts' they serve over there. But not this Marriott. For example:You could have EITHER an orange juice OR a coffee (smallest size only!). Not both!!!You could have EITHER (a) a sandwich, burrito or (almost cold) porridge OR (b) Yogurt, fruit cup, a bagel, croissant or Muffin (Choose two)Paper cups and plastic spoons. The Included Breakfast was an insult, and nothing LIKE American hotel chains traditionally offer. Insubstantial and cheap. Saying it 'included breakfast' in this hotel was misleading.Marriott give no points unless booked directly with them. But after this, that will not be an issue. Never again.
