Staff were very friendly. Had one of the best night's sleep in a long time. Definitely looking into purchasing their pillows!

Very clean and nicely decorated. Very convenient location to the < a href="/venue-hotels/verizon-wireless-amphitheater-irvine-meadows-hotels/310159">Verizon Wireless amphitheatre. The taxi service to and from the venue was not a problem. Staff was very nice and helpful. I would stay there again.

Not what i thought it...

Liked: Location was decent.
Disliked: Our couch was so over used that it had no cushions or throw pillows and when you sat on it, you fell backwards into it. There was crumbs and candy all inside the couch/ pullout. The room was much smaller than anticipated and did not comfortably fit the amount of guests so we booked a separate room. There was never more than one person covering the front desk and breakfast area at the same time so every guest had to wait a while for the front desk person to run back and forth between the two. Despite keeping our card keys away from all electrical devices, we had to get a new key every day which was very annoying. The second room we booked hadn't been cleaned, had a horrible smell and mold in the bathtub. The room they moved us to after we told them about this was missing tv remote batteries and again, card keys kept needing to be renewed. Very outdated and smaller than the price suggested.

Disliked: The doors were hard to close and open on the balcony. And there were no chairs on the balcony.

Liked: Since I came to to US back in the late 80´s I have experienced Hilton´s, Sheraton´s, and Marriot´s brand domestic and international. I finally decided to stay loyal to Marriott dueto their service, accommodations consistency, regardless if you are in the US or abroad. And, as a travel agent myself, I only reccommend Marriot to my clients; "you pay a little more, but you are guarateed a service and accommodation that will meet and or exceed your expectations". And from me as a travel agent, a piece of mind. However, was a little suprised with the lack of accommodation consistency that I have been used all these years as a loyal patron for Marriott International brand. I understand that Sonesta may be the "low budget" property for Marriott?, and like I like I said, I booked theis property knowing that. I want to experience the this brand before I reccommend to my clients. I stayed at this property when was Marriott Courtyard, and I enjoyed very much.
Disliked: Tlack of a bar/lounge. The room smelled smoke in my room.

Liked: The room was lovely. Clean, modern, comfy. Pool area was nice too. Hotel lounge super cool and comfy. The coffee served was spectacular.
Disliked: Parking/access to hotel combo is very awkward,distant,unpleasant for check in. Staff was somewhat snobby, but they pushed to be nice, I think they realized. Elevator painfully slow. Breakfast was not complimentary, it seemed it was advertised as such.

Liked: I needed somewhere close to Long Beach and close to Disneyland and this hotel was right in the middle. I also like that its right next to the Irvine Spectrum.
Disliked: The past few times I've stayed the rooms have smelled or not been as clean. The room this time was stuffy and the sink had dirt residue and wouldnt drain.
