Liked: The stay was ok, or good enough, if you're cool with a bunch of weird policies.
Disliked: The hotel had a policy that was unbeknownst until check-in which was a $100 cash deposit only no card. At a minimum it should should have been communicated prior. It's just $100, and it's normal for a card to be on file with a temp hold/everything was just not standard about the process/and seemed irregular and/off 'offputting.' "I said what about people who don't carry cash? You could have this set up with a heads up?"The clerk said, "You can go to an ATM, if you don't have cash." However, the hotel was competitively priced and decently arranged besides the unprofessional vibe with the deposit, and policy they hand you regarding the rules of your stay. This is a totally different topic, that is clearly the independent owner having a rant about local 21 year olds behaving badly, I assume, as it's required to be 23 or older to have a hotel room at this establishment. The harsh rules do not make you feel welcome, or that there is a good chance you'll have a crummy stay due to the ongoings that caused the 'homemade' policy.

Overall decent stay

Liked: Staff was very pleasant, nice location.
Disliked: Pool was cloudy and smelled like eggs. Kids running down halls and knocking on doors

Liked: The staff was amazing. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable and clean. The location was also good. Only a few minutes to downtown

Disliked: The checkin experience sucked.THE COMPUTERS WERE SLOW for our 8pm check-in for 2 rooms COMPUTERS WERE SLOW when we checked out in morning at 930am and asked for a receipt. This is unacceptable in 2024. Luckily there were no guests in line at that time.

Liked: Location. Amenities. Some staff very helpful and kind.
Disliked: Room needed cleaned. Breakfast was poor quality (food tasted old, variety wasn't good).

Horrible beds, pillows, mediocre rooms...

Liked: The breakfast was okay and the staff were friendly. The front desk worker was very polite to work with even though I was very frustrated with the cash deposit requirement.
Disliked: The beds are terrible, pillows are horrible. It seems like the facility is just trying to get by without investing in the cmfort of the rooms. It is not a 3 star property. They required a $100 CASH deposit. I've never had a hotel require cash deposit. Who does that? It felt very sketchy.
