Very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Liked: Location was fantastic and then the breakfast place connected had the most wonderful scandi options.
Disliked: A couple of strange essentials missing like providing one cup for a double room (there were two of us), and a little fridge would have been helpful, whereas other things had been really well thought out.

Superb
Liked: Really lovely hotel. Very friendly check-in. So central and handy for everywhere in Astoria. Decor was tasteful and historic. Bathroom was huge.
Disliked: Only issue was level of dust and dirt around kettle facilities in room.

Really nicely decorated and good...
Liked: Great, convenient location and friendly staff. A modernized old hotel with nice decor. good value.
Disliked: a bit of a hassle to arrive late. My original room wasn't made up so they gave me another room (which was an upgrade too so that was nice). They give white noise machines since the street can be a bit loud (didn't bother me but mention for people who don't like).

Cute historic building, heart of...
Liked: So much. The staff texted us on our way in to double-check about our time of arrival, and then I was able to text them as needed throughout the stay and in off hours — although not needed or used during our time time. The facilities were so cute and clean. A little space to sit with a fire pit. I worked from there in the morning. Right next to it is a Broder cafe, Nordic-style breakfast and espresso drinks. Delicious aebelskivers. Main door is locked after 8pm and you have a key fob to get in. Had trouble getting the TV to work, but they offered a fun selection of DVDs to borrow and play in your room, games and books I believe. A little grab-and-go drink/snack station included a small ice machine, sodas and Tillamook cheese. Room was spacious and clean, included a couch and the closet had a separate light which was clutch in getting ready in the AM without waking the spouse and pup. Even a little swag in the form of ear plugs... they were needed, see sad face section. Also coffee and tea pot/selections in the room. Lots of walking and shopping nearby, antiques, tiki bar, breweries, pizza, etc. Oh yeah did I mention they're super doggo friendly? Love this place will defs book again.
Disliked: A little loud from the road traffic, just off a major trucking route, but lots of stuff to walk to and shop in the area.

Brief stay in Astoria
Liked: Convenient well located historic hotel with a budget option (shared bathroom) during low season for a brief stay. The lobby is pleasant to sit and work on a computer or to read. Pencil sharpener in each room is a bonus! :)
Disliked: Coffee at the lobby tasted stale.

Old world charm and central...
Liked: Location is right downtown Astoria. Close to good restaurants and shopping. Perfect for our stay. Loved the charm of an old hotel.
Disliked: It’s an old hotel so sound can be a problem if you are expecting a modern hotel, but we understood that and accepted it as part of the charm of an old building.
