Decent hotel, excellent staff but...

Liked: Staff were more than friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping. A special shout out to the gal who ran the breakfast.Beds were great , lovely big bathroom ...very comfortableFew minutes to dining and shopping by car.....
Disliked: Location of our room had us hearing the elevator motor going up and down which was annoying in the wee hours.Pool area and gym felt small and a dark place Would have liked to use outdoor spaces or beach front across the street but people noticably passed out on the grass areas and open drug use on the beach fronts. To be fair , we observed security who walked the public streets across from hotel and around public soup kitchen. Will not be returning because area felt unsafe

Liked: Room was clean and quiet, and appeared to be have been recently remodeled. I also appreciated the shuttle drop off to the airport.
Disliked: The large windows to the room were very dirty, and appeared not to have been cleaned in several years. The only amenities were soap and shampoo. it would've been nice to have bottled water, some writing paper and a pen. TV station selection was poor and there was no channel guide in the room. Frustrating to have to return to the TV channel guide because it was very slow.

Liked: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The special touches like a call after check in to see how the room was, a coffee machine for espresso drinks and good variety for breakfast all made for a good stay.
