Hotel air conditioning unit way too loud. Bar service and staff exceptional. Staff at hotel lobby should have some kind of uniform, not plain clothes.

Exactly what we wanted. Staggering distance from the Commodore! Clean and comfortable.

Liked: Nice staff. Clean hotel.
Disliked: Key cards were annoying. Had to go to front desk several times to get them fixed.

All and all it was a lousy experience and I would like my money back .

Disliked: The room was very small; the sheets were clean but the bedding smelled stale; the elevator was out of order when we came back from Cirque du Soleil. I am 73 years old with knee problem and I had to walk 5 flights of stairs to get back to our room; the staff at the front desk were rude and indifferent - I asked if they had a service elevator and they said there was no service elevator, and told us that since it was not an emergency the elevator would probably not be fixed for 3 or 4 more hours, and had no way of helping me out. So I struggled up 5 flights of stairs. The breakfast was lukewam. The $139 room ended up costing close to $190. They did not tell us on arrival that parking was $18 - another lovely surprise.

Liked: Great, clean place to stay.

Liked: Staff was super welcoming and helpful. Decor was gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious and came with the room.
Disliked: Parking was a little stressful because it was not guaranteed but we were lucky and did get it.

Pleasant

Liked: We were given a room at the top floor to avoid noise which I appreciate The gentlemen at the front desk were very welcoming, and accommodating. The rooms were super clean thanks to the housekeeping team. The wait staff at the restaurant were also wonderful. The interior design is nice.
Disliked: The breakfast included in the package was not that great. I recommend you skip that and go to breakfast some other place nearby. Very limited options especially for picky eaters (kids) and those of us who don't eat ham. The beds were very short to accommodate the smallish tight space. The scents were overwhelming in the lobby. They also need an additional elevator. The bar and restaurant get a lot of customers especially on the weekend. So be sure to book on the fifth floor to avoid the noise. And there was some machine rumbling on and off at night and sometimes during the day and some sort of pipes under our room also kept us up some nights. We were not sure where the noise was coming from. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Need qualified people midnight also....

Liked: The reception lady Meghla is co operative and her hospitality is good but I think she is intern. The security person is very bad body language and I think he lied to reception Meghla.
Disliked: I got the room in Midnight . With my family it’s help me a lot

Pleasantly surprised as the exterior...

Liked: Rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed. Loved the decor. Comfortable bed and had all of the little extras….robes, coffee, kettle, free toiletries if you forgot yours!
Disliked: The location was a little sketchy but I think it is the new normal for downtown Vancouver. On the plus side, so many places to eat, small park to get to.

Not really for us

Liked: It was a bit different to a corporate hotel
Disliked: The paper thin walls. We could hear every conversation next door at all times of the day / night! We were moved to an upgraded room. Slightly better. Situation was ok but drug takers around the area were quite a scent!

Cozy place and convenient location.

Liked: I've stayed in Mgallery for 3 days. On arrival, you will receive a complimentary drink that you can enjoy at the living room bar during happy hours.It's very convenient location: Granville public market, Canada place, Mall, David Lam park etc -everything is walking distance. Tea, Coffee machine and capsules at your disposal.
Disliked: Drinking water at the room was at extra cost, which should be complementary.Lobby air freshener was too strong.
