I paid for a hotel...

Liked: That both Bloomington’s that I paid for happen to have a university in them. So the titles are misconceived easily for the wrong location
Disliked: I called because a mistake was made. I was staying in Bloomington normal and thought this was Illinois. Which guess what happens to have a university in the city as well. Was told i wouldnt be charged. I called the hotel and contacted booking. So I tried to do the right thing and order from booking again. Come to find out I was charged. Even if it says no refunds I called within 1 minute of realizing it gave me incorrect option. And bought another hotel from your company to make sure a record would show that I rectified the mistake I could see if I didn’t show up. But I called and was told by hotel and booking that I had to contact the other. So I did and both said u wasn’t charged. So no I am a little upset that an honest person can’t make a mistake and Based on the description of the hotel and university circumstance it’s really also your mistake. And somehow your company can charge me to be in two places at once.

Comfortable

Liked: The place was very decent and the staff were lovely and helpful. It was a comfortable stay. Furnishings were appropriate and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was decent as well. It's a typical American breakfast: tasty, sufficient, with some variety (sugary pastries, biscuits, bagels, omelettes, bacon, waffle maker and mix, coffee/tea/juices/yogurts/packaged oatmeal also available).
Disliked: It was overpriced, but I think it was because of the date (for the April 2024 total eclipse). I mean, it was equivalent to Hilton prices. The location is OK but it's a 45 minute hike to the main part of campus. There's a pancake place down the hill and across Walnut/College--about a 5-7 minute walk (I did not see any other restaurants within short walking distance). Despite what you hear from the staff, the shuttle to the airport stops nowhere near this hotel, so you will still need extra wheels to get you to/from the nearest stop if you plan on using the Indy airport shuttle.

Disliked: Bed was very uncomfortable, no support at all. We went out late the 1st morning and said no service was needed but the 2nd day we had to ask for many items; toilet paper (extra roll was not replaced during cleaning), kleenex -box was almost empty when arrived, no spare in the room, 2nd day when towels replaced they didn't leave a bathmat so we had to use a towel for that and they left 1 washcloth rather than 2 or 3 (3 were in the room when we got there).We tipped the maid anyway because we weren't sure if was the maid or policy of hotel.

Liked: We like to walk and weren’t too far from downtown Bloomington and IU considering we don’t mind a bit of a walk
Disliked: I just didn’t think it rated $170 per night. But I may just be getting old and cranky. It’s a basic hotel though.
