It's old and worn down, paint is peeling and the lights flicker a bit. For $78 bucks a night, I can't complain. It's close to everything and parking is plenty.

Liked: Close to downtown location was good, room was as expected since this was a low end cost motel, and as such it was clean despite being weathered. The plus was that the shower had an endless supply of very hot water, a rarity in the budget motel scene.
Disliked: I felt treated like a criminal during my entire stay. There was an LAPD "ghetto bird" chopper hovering over my room the entire first night, there were what appeared to be undercover cops in the parking lot behind the hotel aiming headlights into my room window all night, and there was what appeared to be a coordinated "goon squad" that would all emerge from various rooms or into the lobby each time I entered / exited the property .... or if waiting for a cab, would come out and stand next to me as if supervising me. I brought this alarming trend up to management who minimized and denied that any of this was occurring so I finally had to appeal to a practice I don't generally approve of, the nasty internet review. However, I really feel I have no alternative, this was a truly degrading experience and although I thoroughly enjoyed running the LA Marathon, I will be honest and say it was not worth the price to fly, stay, and endure this kind of treatment.
