The room was spacious and very clean. Front desk was helpful with questions about cab selection and what to do in town. I would stay here when I return to Ann Arbor. Really liked the location of being right off the highway and having Whole Foods across the street.

The rooms are nowhere near...

Liked: The location was nice, and the water in the bathroom was hot.
Disliked: When we arrived in our room, the seal at the top of the door stating your room was freshly cleaned was broken. When I entered, I immediately noticed the condition of the room was in a lot poorer shape than what was advertised on the booking website, and heavily smelled of smoke. For example, the appliances did not match, the lounge chair next to the bed was physically broken, and the outside of the chair, it had been scratched up by some kind of pet. There was human waste and and toilet paper inside the toilet, so I know that had not been cleaned. I wiped the I ran some soapy water in the sink, and physically washed/rinsed all surface areas, including the used toilet.I next went to the front desk to inquire about additional towels, as the shape of the accessible bathroom made the floor a slip hazard. I was there informed I could not have 2 additional towels for the floor, as I needed to return used towels for clean ones. When I tried to explain it was for anti-slip due to the wheelchair, I was told 'It was just the policy'. We then left and went to Meijer to purchase three bath towels. Upon arriving back, entering the room, and smelling smoke again, I went and spoke to a different front desk agent Chris, about us leaving and going to another hotel. Chris told me he would email his managers, but since we were checking in over the weekend, Friday-Sunday stay, there was no guarantee they could refund our monies for staying. We just chalked it up and stayed, however, we were not comfortable, the room accommodation was not reflected on the booking site, and I will never stay at another Sonesta property again. We were stationed in room 121-horrible.

Disliked: It was old and needed a lot of updating. The couch had stains on it and the room just smelled horrible. The property was supposed to be smoke free but that is all you could smell is cigarettes. I also did not feel safe.
