Liked: Lovely old building but trading on a past reputation.Free parking and good location.
Disliked: Over priced. Not a 5 star property by European standards.Service was variable. Front desk were appalling. Items requested several times.

Liked: la posizione e l'hotel
Disliked: I had booked a junior suite with two king size beds and a sofa and instead on the first evening I was placed in a small room with only one bed to which a sofa was then added. Situation: you couldn't even open the trolley.On the second day they placed me in a suitable room, however the cleaning was only carried out at 7pm at my request. For the disservice on the first day I was not given a discount on the price of the room nor was there an apology for what happened. I was shocked that such unfortunate incidents could occur in a hotel of this level.

Classic beauty and relaxed hospitality

Liked: Inomparable as aleays. Beautiful, the staff is both attentive and relaxed, like N excellent host should be.
Disliked: Nothing. There was even a large wedding, which because of the excellent design of the hotel, assed to the experience.

Lovely old hotel let down...

Liked: Lovely grand old property with large pool although sitting area around pool cramped with beds very close together.
Disliked: Service at the pool was slow. Over 30 minutes to get a couple of drinks ordered. Not much else at hotel other than pool. Huge verandas unused when tables and chairs would be ideal there to enjoy sun. Great big ballrooms unused. One restaurant closed. Service at Fontana very very poor. A reservation made for 8.15 but kitchen struggling and didn’t get seated till 8.50. Waiting staff lovely but very hungry by time ordered and food came.

Not cheap but has some...

Liked: Location was great, property was nice but older in decor. Pool was fantastic.
Disliked: Had an issue with the Tv in the Room took three people to resolve. For the price it was certainly disappointing.
