Unfortunately, this was a most disappointing experience: I managed very little sleep on the first night due to the incessant traffic in the absence of double-glazing, and although we were moved to a room facing away from the main road, the lack of air conditioning meant that we had to open the back door thereby inadvertantly allowing mosquitoes in. The room was sweltering hot during the night, and over the course of the vacation, I had very little sleep! Had I known before that there were numerous hotels in the area, I would not have booked the Arcea. The hotel was a 20 minute walk from Llanes (we informed that it was only 12 minutes by the conceirge), and the road on which the hotel was located was a very dangerous one, and without pavements in stretches. I thought it was appalling value for money, especially given that breakfast was not even included. The swimming pool was not much bigger than a large jacuzi so it was not conducive to swimming any great distance, and the patio around it was inadequate as an area for relaxing in. Unfortunately, the Arcea spoiled what should have been a very pleasant and relaxing trip.

Very polite, attentive and informative staff; spacious room; rooms were cleaned well each day.

Too close to the busy highway; very poor value for money; no double-glazing to block out the traffic noise; no air conditioning; too far from Llanes; tiny swimming pool!
