I felt safe. Good enough...

Liked: i was there to meet up friends whose child is a medical student at Merritt U. Comfy bed...good enough for an overnight stay. It was easy for the guy at the office/ counter to switch me to a non- smoking room after I told him that my room is smelling like cigarette and cigarette butts. Thank you so much.....Well kept and watched parking area. I saw a roving security person around that was keeping watch the parking area and the property as a whole. Feeling safe
Disliked: The facility is too old. There is a phone at the bedside table but I noticed it was not connected or plugged & was inoperable. Another $20- was added to my bill....more than what was quoted via booking.com.

Liked: Nothing. Worst place to stay. We had leave around 3am.
Disliked: Very dirty, table lamp not working.Staff didn't do anything with terrible noise!

Great central area but deceptive...

Liked: The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The lovation (Lake Merritt) is my favorite area in Oakland
Disliked: They charge a higher price when I arrived then what was pushlished on the booking website. That is deceptive and unfair. It was late so I had no choice but to pay the extra $12. If I has known I would have stayed somewhere else.
