Adequate
Very grand, attractive building from the outside
Internally very shabby & in need of some serious money spending on it.

A pleasant overnioght stay in a quiet country hotel
Despite its description. this hotel has a large free car park. Room had recently been modernised. BAr meal excellent value for money.
Bathroom was a bit small but perfectly adequate.

We were originally put in a different room to what we thought we had booked, but once we mentioned it to the reception they moved us to a different room, which was excellent. The staff were always helpful. The Farmers Bar served an excellent carvery on the Friday night which was very good value for money.
The Hotel was very relaxing ad the staff were very friendly.

The room was well decorated in a modern style.
There were signs of poor repair and needy maintenance.

Suggest more emphasis should be made to identify room size, more detail on the room amenities & suitability of rooms for the the various types of customers using the hotel.
Staff were very helpfull & accomodating.
The main issues with the stay was the general room room size & amenities in the room. The initial room offered in the west wing was small & with no wardrobe facilities for clothes. We were offered an alternative room which was also small, the ensuite was also very small with unsatisfactory access to the shower & toilet. My wife & I also found the room to be very cold.
