Hotel Reviews of The Hardinge Arms

As an overnight stay it was ideal. Slight problem at first as we assumed that food would be available, but it was fully booked though our host relented! Delighted with the food. Was the importance of booking a table made clear on the confirmation via internet? If it did, I missed it; if it didn't, it should.
Very pleasant staff. Very pleasing meal in the bar, varied, well cooked and presented. Good value

I understand because we hadnt pre-booked the restuarant they may of had difficulty fitting us in to eat, but not even an offer of a sandwich on our arrival! Didnt find the lady particually welcoming or happy to have us staying
Unwilling to accomodate us eating in the resturant, we were informed they were fully booked, but it was obvious to us during the evening they had several vacant tables. (we hadnt pre-booked, as we hadnt stayed there before). not willing to provide any food for our friends (that were staying elsewere) that were joining us for the evening We were advised to eat elsewhere on our journey up!

Overall very good and good value for money
Overall friendliness of the place.
Room was quite dusty/heavy cobwebs in some corners

The Staff were attentive, and there was every thing there we needed. Decent carparking facilities and areas where you could unload your car without having to carry your luggage a long way.
We did not appreciate that we were in the flight path of East Midlands airport. The frequency of the takeoff and landings denied us a good nights sleep.

Nice old hotel with good service
We had either missed or forgotten the 6-8pm check in and arrived early at 5:30pm to have it pointed out,all be it nicely, that we were luckly the door was answered.
