Hotel Reviews of Radisson SAS Waterfront Hotel, Jersey

An excellent Hotel with friendly staff in a perfect setting on the waterfront in Saint Helier. My friend who was travelling with us unfortunately left her phone on the bed in her room when checking out. She only discovered this when she got to the Airport. She phoned the Hotel who promised to send it to her. A few minutes later, they rang my mobile to say that they had found it and would send it to the Airport in a minibus with cabin crew who had been staying at the hotel. They did this and my friend received her phone within half an hour of realising she had lost it. The receptionist even rang again to make sure my friend had got her phone. I would say that this is exceptional service.
The Hotel is very minimal but the overall effect was good. The rooms, especially the bed, was very large and comfortable and we had no complaints at all.
Main reception areas, bar and restaurant are a bit bare and plain and don't have a lot of character.

Enjoyable stay will consider this hotel again when we return to Jersey.
Excellent Hotel in a prime location. Food and facilities couldn't be beaten.

We had initially booked for 7 nights but checked out after two. We ate one breakfast, but were kept waiting on the second morning and then left after 20 minutes wait. The food quality was surprisingly low for a hotel situated on Jersey with easy access to quality food. The price was not comparable with other local 4 star hotels which provided higher quality accommodation and food. We subsequently stayed 5 nights at another privately owned hotel, and enjoyed a higher standard of accommodation and far better food at a lower price ! The description of the Radisson SAS hotel was not accurate and should be amended. Food is poor/bad and the accommodation is basic. Decor is stark. Hotel totally lacks any atomosphere.
Room clean, large car park.
Poor decor, poor (mis described) view. Poor food quality - not fresh and not well prepared. Noisy at night due to other drunken guests. Poor storage for clothes. A missed opportunity by the hotel group to build a hight quality hotel, in what should be a premium position.

Lovely modern hotel with nice airy feel. Good location and very pleasant staff.
Very good room. Hotel very clean. Air conditioning nice and quiet (most hotels much noiser). Huge choice for breakfast. Checking in staff excellent.
Not enough drawer space for clothes (and only took a few for the weekend!). Clothes too high up on shelves. The water was not hot enough for shower/bath.The service in the bar was somewhat chaotic. Didn't like the 'school dining room' feel of the restaurant - only used for breakfast. Not enough car parking spaces for hotel residents.

A large clean modern hotel but badly let down by restaurant. A ten minute walk to town centre - the hotel complimentary taxi was not readily available and there was no shuttle bus to the airport as stated in room information.
Big bed in executive room and excellent coffee from the Nespresso maker and good sea view. Great bathrobes and slippers. Reasonably quiet. Good breakfasts.
Uncomfortable pillows and no alternatives. Extremely slow service in restaurant at lunch (30 minutes) and dinner (40 minutes) and lukewarm food served on cold plates. Very bad coffee at breakfast. In leisure area the steam room was not working for 5 days.

Pleasant, comfortable and enjoyable. The location is ideal for those using the ferry facilities. Parking was a real bonus. Radisson would do well to review its corporate status given that so many people during this week were actually holidaymakers. The buffet breakfast worked well as a continental type provision. However, those wanting a traditional english facility were let down by luke warm food and poorly presented items.Best advice is to order specific items and then there is a chance that the food will be hot and more appertising.
New hotel with good facilities. Staff are keen to help and to advise on any issues. The location is a major plus for this facility.
Poor on local news and interest. T.V. channels could reflect this with local news. The default channel to give news of London traffic is irrelevant! The hotel needs to reflect a local view and feel. Many guests were staying for holiday/leisure facilities. They were not corporate people at conferences etc. With modern technology the hotel could surely fine tune its provision(literally). The rooms are functional and lack, perhaps, storage and cupboard space for a longer stay than just overnight.Radisson would be able to address this with specific accomodation or to provide a greater range of storge space in the room.
