nice location & great scenery
shower loose & kept falling offshower went from hot to cold every 60 seconds

Above all it is the location of this hotel that makes it a winner.
Staff generally very friendly and helpful, real ale very well kept.
Room decor maybe a little tired, but no more so than other comparable Lakeland hotels

Beautifully located hotel with great decor and very friendly.
Fantastic location. Walkers paradise. Very friendly staff.

Good hotel, excellent food. Didn't have set evening meal, but food served in bar was from same kitchen and a high standard for the price. Staff very helpful.Very peaceful, but lots of people about - even in February. Very popular stop but would get very busy in summer.
Very clean, staff helpful. Food excellent.
Although weather was cold, the room was so hot we slept with the window wide open, couldn't turn radiator down/off. From rattling of sash windows others were doing same!
