Check-in took rather a long time - however, I appreciate that this was a very busy day with The Legends football match being played at the Stadium in the evening. However, I found the area close to the reception desk very noisy as the lounge seating area adjoins the check-in desk, so at times it was difficult to hear or concentrate on the check-in procedure. The member of staff rushed through various procedures for entering/using the room, which I had to ask to have repeated slowly and carefully. I appreciate it was a busy time, but I thought a little more care in giving instructions could have been taken. I can't fault anything else with the hotel at all - all other members of staff I came into contact with were most friendly and helpful; the facilities were excellent; the room was non-smoking and quiet as I had requested; and the extras such as robes, bathroom supplies, bed turned down, etc, were much appreciated. Room service was extremely efficient and delivered with the time-scales specified. Check-out was swift and thoughtful (and much quieter!)and the taxi I requested was there almost at once, meaning no delays in reaching the railway station. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable experience for a solo traveller.
I would sum it up as sheer luxury. So often solo travellers are marginalised to the lesser quality rooms, but this hotel was a definite exception and the room was of surprisingly excellent quality, location and in terms of equipment. This was highly valued.
My only one very small dislike was the fact that having an inside room, there was no openable window for fresh air. However, this is a very small niggle, since I was only staying for one night!

We found the hotel generally very good but on match days very clostophobic,, you should have a lounge for residents to go and relax with a quiet drink away from all the crowds that flock the bars.
Nice light and airy rooms
on match days there should be a bar lounge available for residents only
