I would come back.
Food is superb! Building is charming, with much history. Staff is friendly.

The Farmer's Arms is a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Appreciated a radio in the room. The bed was very comfortable. Booking system was easy and efficient.
Arrived to a smell of old chips. The razor light in the bathroom was not working. Got keys to the rooms mixed up and nearly charged us the wrong amount.

Brilliant weekend even with all th erain. Will certainly go back.
The staff and owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome and at home. Everything was clean and best use has been made of a very old building. Bed very comfortable slept like a log both nights.
No bad points only that the bar closed early for a Saturday night (11:00pm). We got back from the wedding reception hoping the driver could have had a night cap but bar in darkness.

would stay at this hotel again but would know next time to eat out
very comfortable room, very clean, friendly staff, close to all tourism in the lake district
meal menu was quite basic and hotel bar closed at 11.00 pm so if not spending the evening out you had to be in your room by 11.00 p.m.

very quaint hostelry, freindly staff and very clean
not ideal for the taller person, low ceilings
